Carbonit EM Premium 5
The Carbonit EM Premium 5 is the first activated carbon filter cartridge with integrated EM ceramics for vitalisation and harmonisation. EM stands for Effective Microorganisms. For the production of EM ceramics, a special fired clay is used that contains organic material from plants that are millions of years old and serve as nourishment for the Effective Microorganisms (EM) during the several-month fermentation process. EM ceramics help reduce the surface tension of the water and minimise cluster structures.
This restores the natural state of the water.
The EM ceramic is "baked in" as a powder during the production of the filter cartridge, creating a very large contact surface with the water. Combined with the proven filtration performance of the Carbonit NFP Premium filter technology, this results in ideal water filtration. Carbon block filter cartridge with integrated EM ceramic. Due to its high filtration performance, the Carbonit EM Premium is not suitable for use with a water whirler but can be easily installed in all Carbonit and Alvito water filters.
The Carbonit EM Premium is not suitable for use with a water whirler due to its relatively low flow rate. The
Carbonit EM Premium filter cartridge fits all common Alvito and Carbonit water filters and is therefore cross-brand compatible. To use it, you must order a
water filter so that the filter cartridge can be inserted.
Performance of EM filter cartridge
This sintered activated carbon block from Carbonit focuses on the chemical-physical removal of unwanted substances in drinking water, e.g. caused by house installation, and offers strong protection against bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, polar pesticides and pharmaceutical residues. This activated carbon block filter combines the known adsorptive forces of sintered activated carbon (e.g. pesticides) with mechanical filtration (e.g. bacteria). The EM PREMIUM combines water filtration with physical water revitalisation.

Maintenance and replacement EM
The recommended usage period of 6 months applies across Europe. In addition to the requirements of DIN 1988, the epdwa guidelines, HKI recommendations as well as findings from various DIN regulations (NAL LH/AK HW 0029) and DIN EN 14898 and the DVGW worksheet W 513 must be observed. Filter cartridges are wear parts, so we also recommend replacing the filter every 6 months!
