Carbonit Duo HPS Basic as a serial under-sink water filter for the individual configuration of a water filtration system

Application area Duo

The Carbonit Duo-HPS is an under-sink water filter with 2 chambers, allowing 2 filter cartridges from Carbonit or Alvito to be installed.
Individual adaptation to a (serial) filtration task. The cartridges are selected by the user based on the filtration requirement and ordered separately. Examples:

• Prefilter before the activated carbon cartridge to protect it from rapid clogging
• Increased adsorption performance through 2 serial activated carbon cartridges (doubled contact time)

Description

The cartridge arrangement is serial, meaning both cartridges are flowed through one after the other. The flow direction according to the diagram must be observed.
The device contains all necessary components for branching from the cold water line (for separate drinking water extraction - V1) as well as for returning into the water line
(for filtering the entire line water - V2). Hose connections to the device are made via quick couplings, which especially facilitate cartridge replacement.
Connections to and from the device to the pipe network are possible via 3/8" union nut or 10mm compression fitting.
Cartridges are not included; these must be selected and ordered separately by the user.

• All Carbonit filter cartridges of type NFP...-9, IFP...-9, VFS09/..., IFP Puro, IFP Ultra, Premium EM and Puro EM, and ion exchange cartridges (regenerable and refill cartridges) are suitable

Scope of delivery

Complete filter unit with extensive installation material (T-piece, shut-off ball valve, flexible hoses, fittings, quick couplings, seals) and user manual, packed in a box with printed outer sleeve.
Attention: without water tap (faucet), without cartridges, please order separately.
 

Maintenance and cartridge replacement

A service life of 6 months is recommended throughout Europe. In addition to the requirements of DIN 1988, the epdwa guidelines, the HKI recommendations, and the findings of various DIN specifications (NAL LH/AK HW 0029) and DIN EN 14898 as well as DVGW worksheet W 513 must be observed. Filter cartridges are wear parts; therefore we also recommend replacing the filter every 6 months!
