The Carbonit filter cartridge is used for water filtration in the kitchen and bathroom directly at the point of use. Its main area of application is water contaminated with bacteria or viruses, as well as general purification of your drinking water. The filter cartridge can be used in all countertop and under-sink water filters from Carbonit and Alvito.
Description IFP Ultra Filter
The Carbonit "IFP Ultra" is a combined activated carbon membrane filter cartridge. It combines the special properties of a sintered activated carbon monoblock with the extremely fine particle filtration of an ultrafiltration membrane. The activated carbon monoblock of the filter cartridge with a fineness of 5 μm adsorbs dissolved contaminants in the water, and the integrated ultrafiltration membrane retains particles down to 0.00002 mm through microfiltration, including bacteria and viruses.

• Ultrafiltration with 0.02µm fineness through an internal ultrafiltration membrane and combined sintered activated carbon monoblock with 5.0µm fineness
• ensures reliable retention of bacteria and viruses
• adsorptive retention rate (ARR) is approx. 60–70% compared to the ARR of Carbonit NFP Premium with 100%

The Ster-O-Tap capillary membrane not only meets American ANSI/NSF 42 and 53 standards but also European requirements and norms. The Carbonit IFP Ultra filter cartridges are safety-tested according to German food regulations and are environmentally friendly, made using renewable raw materials.

Performance IFP Ultra Filter Cartridge
The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). In principle, up to 5,000 liters of water may be filtered within these 6 months. An earlier replacement may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early replacement is not a defect of the filter, but an indication of an increased presence of fine particles in the unfiltered water. Filter fineness: 0.02 µm (membrane); 5 µm (activated carbon) Flow rate: approx. 1.8 - 2.3 liters per minute (at 4 bar)

Usage Notes

-The filter cartridge should only be used with cold water and protected from frost
-Due to the extremely fine filtration, a pre-filter with textile filters VFS09/001 (1µm) is recommended in cases of rapid flow reduction caused by particles
-In the Sanuno, the flat gasket on the bottom cover must be removed
