Carbonit IK Refill Cartridge NF2

The Carbonit IK Refill Cartridge NF2 is suitable for all ion exchange resins used for limescale reduction, nitrate filtration, and softening of pipe water flowing from your tap. Carbonit has created a robust filter cartridge that will reliably filter your water as a long-lasting aid. By reducing limescale in the water, the taste of your drinking water and the overall hardness are also improved. In addition, household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, or kettles are protected by the properties of the Carbonit NF2.
The cartridge and its production currently meet the highest quality standards and are compatible with common devices. It can be used perfectly in the Carbonit Duo-HP Kalk and the Carbonit Vario-HP models.
Furthermore, the IK Refill Cartridge NF2 has a bypass for adjusting to the inlet concentration.

Application range NF2:

• Water purification through ion exchange for drinking purposes (not for household process water)

• In combination with DUO-HP Kalk for softening (total hardness), DUO-HP Basic S (for all other ion exchange resins) or in VARIO-HP; also usable in devices from other manufacturers (please refer to the drawing)

Description:

• Cartridge is empty; ion exchange resins in refill packs must be ordered separately
• Substance removal via granules / resins
• Depending on resin type: reduction of hardness, nitrate, or fluoride content

Performance Refill Cartridge:

• Depending on substance concentration of inlet water and resin type, see instructions of ion exchange resin refill pack
• After service life ends, resin can be disposed of in household waste
• For hygienic reasons, a resin change at least every six months and a replacement of the refill cartridge every 2 years is recommended
• A flow restriction is recommended; value depends on resin type (see manual) – higher flow rates are possible but reduce extraction performance
• Flow restriction can be set via the ball valve (see manual) or via a flow regulator (see spare parts & accessories)

Usage Notes:

• Use only with cold water, protect from frost
• Measurement of the concentration of the substance to be removed via test strips or titration kits (more accurate). Note: depending on granulate, use appropriate measuring technique (see manual)
• Measuring equipment available at aquarium supply stores (e.g., JBL, Tetra, Sera) or according to manual instructions
