Ion exchanger cartridge Carbonit IKK Lime ion exchanger empty cartridge for refilling and regenerating
The Carbonit IKK Lime ion exchanger empty cartridge from Carbonit for refilling and regenerating. Lime treatment with Carbonit is based on
ion exchange resins that are filled into cartridges to form ion exchanger cartridges. Ion exchange resins remove lime-forming water components (Ca, Mg, CO3) from the incoming water (raw water) and release other ions (Na-, H+).
Removal takes place until all binding sites available on the resin surface for exchange are occupied. After that, the raw water passes through the cartridge without reducing lime. The resin must then be replaced or regenerated.
Carbonit offers both regenerable cartridges and refill solutions. Both can be used alternatively. With the refill cartridges, you can choose between removing the carbonate hardness former (carbonate hardness is reduced) or calcium/magnesium (total hardness is reduced). Both reduce lime formation.
