Alvito ABF Primus CLC® filter cartridge with lime filtration
The filter insert Alvito ABF Primus CLC uses the activated carbon filter block of the ABF Primus EM with "EM-Ceramics" and is also filled inside with a special limescale protection granulate.
This granulate converts part of the temporary water hardness (dissolved "lime") into larger, stable calcite crystals.
During this "catalytic" process of lime conversion, no substances are released into the water, nor is the lime filtered out.
The lime remains in the water and only changes its structure. The limescale protection granulate functions purely physically and is not consumed within the specified service life of 6 months,
as the lime crystals that are formed are constantly detaching themselves from the granulate. The effectiveness can vary depending on the individual water composition.
The result is significantly less residue on fittings, tiles, etc. and the lime deposits on surfaces are less stubborn.
Once deposits have formed, they can therefore be removed more easily and the cleaning effort is reduced.
Household appliances (kettles, coffee machines, etc.) are additionally protected. The Alvito ABF Primus CLC is the right filter insert when stubborn limescale deposits need to be reduced and an additional activation and energisation of the filtered water is desired, the effect of which is reflected in a fresher and softer taste.
